Brochure Interior

1. Description: This is a brochure advertising a made up business or event by creating a logo and using proper design techniques.
2. Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I first created my logo in Illustrator. I wanted something simple and straight forward. Something crisp. Like the air in the mountains. I then searched for a map of the location of my spa. I found an image and opened it in photoshop and created a color overlay to make it more muted. I then found my other 3 images and edited them in photoshop so the colors all matched. Then is when I started on the words. I did some research on the location of my spa and some different spa treatments and wrote accordingly. After all that was done I opened an InDesign document and started creating my brochure with all the elements I had. It came together quite nicely I think.
3. Message: My message is of serenity and cleanness.
4. Audience: Women and men looking for a getaway to relax.
5. Top Thing Learned: I needed to open up one document in InDesign with two pages, not two documents with one page each. It made it difficult to match the colors. I also had a really hard time with fonts but I learned to keep it simple.

P7 – Web Page Project

 

 

1. Description: Create a webpage describing the creation of my logo for Vera Lee Design Co. using html and css,
2. Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I used notepad++ to code my html and CSS. I spent a lot of time looking up how to do different things and make the webpage do what I want.
3. Message: Showcase the skills I’ve learned in logo design and html coding.
4. Audience: Businesses looking to hire someone with Adobe Creative Suite experience as well as html coding.
5. Top Thing Learned: Everything I did for this project was something new! I learned so many things. I learned how to do the basics of html and CSS. Something I’ve never had experience with before. I also learned how to relatively make the code do what I want. So many new things this week!
6. Color scheme and color hex(s): Monochromatic – Red
7. Title Font Families & Category: Verdana Bold

9. Changes made to the CSS: I change all the colors and border sizes. I made certain words bold. I also moved my logo to the center.

P6 – Stationary Project

 

Description: Create a set of stationary and business cards using a new logo.

Process: I started online looking at different business card ideas. I really loved the idea of a square business card. So I opened up Illustrator and started designing a logo for Vera Lee Design. I decided to go with something very simple. After I designed the logo I opened up an InDesign document and proceeded to use the rectangle tool to finish my business cards. I then started with my stationary, sticking to a very simple design. I then saved both my files as jpeg and here we are!

Message: The message is that Vera Design is an elegant modern design company that gets right to the point.

Audience: Anyone looking for a design company.
